PHP MySQL and encoding

So here we go with new site design and all, and one thing that drives me up the wall is the encoding mess. I have a hungarian lanuage blog, sitting in MySQL using utf-8 encoding. Wordpress reads it perfectly, in MySQL every special character shows up correctly. Officially got the flu

Cleaning up

I am cleaning up. Busy bee

The relaxing project just got tuned up a notch, so not much time for anything else - except to sleep, I need that too -, but it will have to stop, I have too much things to do that got neglected. And I really have to find time for a visit to a haircutter.

New design version 0.01, state Alpha-- →

New design… no graphics, no bling, just an initial layout plan. I want to get closer to a “newspaper” setup, putting forth the latest entries from my tumblr pages, blogs, friendfeeds, flickr and whatever comes to mind. Comments are appreciated as always.

Comments rolling on tumblr too

Ok, I have set up the disqus thing on tumblr, and you can reach it both from the tumblr.com page, and the main page of my site - in the latter case it takes you to the tumblr post, but one less click and anyway, the comment possibility is more visible this way. Karen, I hope every problem you meet will be solved with such a speed :)

I was told about a job possibility. It sounds good, a permanent employment in a good industry. Today I got a call from someone who said I was recommended by someone whom I never heard of, and that they are looking for people to do a 3-4 months long project. Naturally, I turned him down.
